The Berrien County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) have an important role in protecting both their communities and emergency responders if a chemical release emergency happens. LEPC members shall include representatives from different groups and organizations, as described in Section 301(c). A single member may represent more than one of the below groups or organizations. Likewise, a group may be representative by more than one member, 

LEPCs include representatives from the following groups and organizations:

  • Law Enforcement
  • Emergency Management
  • Firefighting
  • First Aid and Health
  • Local Environmental
  • Hospitals
  • Transportation 
  • Broadcast and Media
  • Community Groups
  • Regulated Facilities

  • Agriculture
