BCAC Helps a Senior keep a senior!

A few weeks ago our office received a call from a woman named Julia. Julia told us of a dog she had been taking care of (and who had been taking care of her) for 6 months. During this time, Julia attempted to save up money to get Lion her vaccines and license but still lacked the adequate funds to do so.  Julia is a senior who lives alone, and needs Lion not only for protection, but for companionship. Combining the money Julia had saved and your generous donations, we were not only able to get Lion her vaccines and a license, but we sent her to be spayed and microchipped as well!
While we are not able to do this for every circumstance, we are glad to keep these two seniors together, and one less dog at our shelter!

Here’s a picture of the two of them reunited after Lion’s spay. Aren’t they sweet?!
