Mountain biking is available at Love Creek from April through November. The current trail distance is about 3.5 miles miles. The trail includes a mix of single track and double track sections with frequent short climbs. Some sections of the trail are shared with hikers and cyclists are required to yield to hikers and should always anticipate that other trail users may be present around blind corners. Insect repellent is recommended in summer, as Love Creek is (unfortunately) host to a healthy deer fly population. In winter the mountain bike trail is now groomed for fat bike riding and rentals are available!
Mountain biking is also allowed on the 2.2 mile Green Trail at Madeline Bertrand from May through October. Cyclists are required to ride in the direction of the green arrows on the trail signs. Cyclists are also required to yield to hikers and should always anticipate that other trail users may be present around blind corners. The trail is a hard packed natural surface that parallels the St. Joseph River and outlines the park perimeter. The terrain is mostly flat with one narrow, downhill slope and a returning uphill climb. With caution on these slopes, it is an ideal trail for a family cycling outing.
