Natural Resource Day 2010
What: Natural Resource Day is a free, ½ day program where Berrien County 5th Graders attend 25 minute sessions on topics such as Wildlife, Soil & Water Conservation, Recycling, Sustainability, and The Great Outdoors. These sessions are lead by environmental professionals from the community. Each student takes home a goodie bag containing educational materials that will help them continue to exploration our natural world.
When: Wednesday, April 21, 2010, 9:45am to 12:30pm. Invitations will be sent to all schools in October. Deadline to sign up is November 20, 2009.
Where: Berrien County Youth Fair Grounds, Berrien Springs
Why: The purpose of the program is to help students understand the importance and necessity of conserving our natural resources and teach basic conservation principles that can be practiced at home and within the community.

5th Grade Natural Resource Day welcomed 850 students on April 22 and 23, 2009.
