• Orchard Hill Landfill: 3290 Henessey Rd., Watervliet Twp. 463-5588. Drop-off volume based fee. Hours M-F 7-4:30, SA 7-12.
• Southeast Berrien County Landfill: (compost site) 1540 Mayflower Rd., Niles. 695-2500. Drop-off grass & leaves FREE for residents in 5 participating municipalities. Other materials at volume based fee. Hours M-F 7-6, SA 8-12.
• Watson’s Tree Service: 2953 E. Detroit Rd. (Route 60), Niles. 683-5305. Drop-off volume based fees. Hours M-F 7-5, SA 7-12.
• Local Waste Hauler or Disposal Service: call your local service provider to find out if yard waste recycling service can be made available to you.
• Local Municipalities: many municipalities offer Fall curbside leaf collection and a few offer curbside collection of all yard waste. Call your town hall if you are unsure what municipal services you are receiving.

-Michigan law prohibits leaves, grass clippings, garden debris, shrubbery, brush or tree trimmings less than 4 feet in length and 2 inches in diameter from being disposed of in landfills.

-GRASSCYCLING simply means leaving your grass clippings on the lawn when you mow. Grasscycling will save you time not having to handle the bag and will provide a natural nitrogen fertilizer to your lawn.
