Reduce Reuse Recycle Day

 REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE DAY @ LAKE MI COLLEGE

April 11, 2012, 3-7 p.m.

Lake MI College Parking Lot, 2755 Napier Ave., Benton Harbor - enter at the Napier Ave. entrance and follow event signs. The collection will be set up next to (East side) of the Western Southwest building, South of the Mendel Center.

For Berrien County RESIDENTS ONLY - No Business Waste

Drive thru service - volunteers will be on hand to unload items from vehicles.

Partnership between Lake Michigan College & Berrien County.

Fees on large quantities of Household Hazardous Waste will be charged, see below.  All other accepted items are free.  Donations are accepted & appreciated to offset collection costs.

ACCEPTED ITEMS

• Electronics: anything with a cord or a battery including computers, televisions, printers, cell phones, telephones, stereos, vacuum cleaners, toasters, VCR/DVD players, etc.    
• Household Hazardous Waste: click on HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE for a list of accepted items and fees for large quantities (no latex paint).
• Home Medical Waste: pills, liquids, sharps/needles, patches. Pills can be dropped off in original containers or combined in a bag. Liquids must be in original container. Sharps must be in puncture proof container.
• Freon/Refrigerant Containing Appliances (refrigerators, freezers, dehumidifiers, window air conditioners, ice machines)
• Magazines, Catalogs, & Books (soft & hard cover)
• Document Shredding Service: on-site, no Business waste. Businesses can contact local shredding companies directly.
• Shoes (all kinds)
• Eye Glasses
• Bicycles
