3/3/2021 - LEPC Meeting Notice for 2021

March 03, 2021 - The Berrien County LEPC meeting schedule was announced today for 2021.  It can be found on the LEPC webpage at https://www.berriencounty.org/1529/Local-Emergency-Planning-Committee-LEPC..  Due to COVID19 assembly restrictions and safety requirements, public meetings for 1Q and 2Q have been suspended.  3Q and 4Q meetings are being planned to be allowed in person as of the date of this posting.  For chemical facilities who are required to submit Teir 2 Reports to the LEPC (Due by Mar 01, 2021), they may continue to do so by email at tier2@berriencounty.org or mailing it to the attention of the Berrien County Sheriff's Emergency Management Division, 919 Port Street, Saint Joseph, MI 49085.  Emergency plans are being drafted by emergency management staff and will be formally adopted by the LEPC during the 3Q meeting.  Informally, the plans will be disseminated to local emergency response agencies when they are completed in real time.  2021 plans are developed off of the planning basis approved by the LEPC in 2019.
